Brighton vs Newcastle United (17:30 GMT)

All the talk this week has been about Steve Bruce's successor in the St James's Park hotseat, with Eddie Howe expected to become the new head coach.

However, Graeme Jones will continue as interim manager for this evening's game at the Amex Stadium in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Jones has a full squad available, with only Paul Dummett ruled out through injury, and must decide whether to make changes from the team which lost 3-0 to Chelsea last weekend.

Martin Dubravka, Miguel Almiron and Joe Willock are all pushing for a place in the starting line-up.

Newcastle United interim coach Graeme Jones made three changes to his team to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

Jones recalled Jonjo Shelvey from the start while Jacob Murphy was also back.

And Miguel Almiron was also back after a long stint on the bench.

The trio that went out included Sean Longstaff, Javier Manquillo and Ryan Fraser who has failed to impress after being brought in from the cold by Jones.

The other big decision saw Jones stick with Karl Darlow between the posts.

Jones had said before the game: “It’s about what is doing best for the club.

“That’s where the focus has been and the players have responded well.”

Newcastle: Darlow, Murphy, Krafth, Lascelles, Clark, Ritchie, Hayden, Shelvey, Almiron, Saint-Maximin, Wilson

Subs: Dubravka, Schar, Joelinton, Lewis, Manquillo, Fraser, Willock, Gayle, Longstaff.
