Sunderland vs Hull City [19:00 BST]

The Black Cats are set to host last season's League One champions in the final game of pre-season.

It's the first time fans the majority of fans will be allowed back into the Stadium of Light - having seen the capacity for the League One play-off semi-final capped at 10,000.

Lee Johnson's side drew with the Tigers on both occasions in the league last season and the visitors will prove a stern test on Wearside this afternoon.

It's an opportunity for the Wearsiders to show how far they've come in pre-season but could also show how much work there is to be done before the opening day of the season against Wigan in just over a week's time.

Grant McCann's side returned to the Championship at the first time of asking and were comfortably the best side in the division last year.

The Black Cats are likely to ring the changes from their last outing at Tranmere Rovers. Johnson fielded a young side at Prenton Park while also giving vital minutes to senior players Bailey Wright, Aiden O'Brien and Will Grigg.

Alex Pritchard is unlikely to be involved having contracted Covid-19 and is still struggling.
