Rochdale vs Sunderland [15:00 BST]

The Black Cats head to Spotland in fine form in League One, following Wednesday night's convincing 3-0 win at Accrington Stanley.

Rochdale sit second bottom of the table, although are unbeaten in their last four, so manager Jack Ross knows his side will have to be on their game.

In-form Aiden McGeady is an injury doubt for the Black Cats, who have Lee Cattermole, Adam Matthews, Reece James, Chris Maguire and Duncan Watmore out, although captain George Honeyman is again available.

Aiden McGeady failed to recover from the ankle injury he picked up in the midweek win at Accrington Stanley, forcing Jack Ross to make one change to the side that began that game.
On-loan Celtic wideman Lewis Morgan came into the side to replace the Republic of Ireland international.

George Honeyman was available again after completing a suspension which had kept him out of the last three league games and he was included on the bench in place of Morgan.

Rochdale boss Brian Barry-Murphy named an unchanged side, keeping faith with the same starting XI which earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Gillingham last weekend.

Sunderland XI: McLaughlin, O’Nien, Flanagan, Baldwin, Hume, Gooch, McGeouch, Power, Morgan, Wyke, Grigg

Subs: Ruiter, Leadbitter, Ozturk, Honeyman, Dunne, Sterling, Oviedo
