Bristol Rovers vs Sunderland AFC [19:45]

The winners tonight will face Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy final on March 31.

Jack Ross has said he will field a strong side tonight, with Wembley so close, but there are likely to be some changes from the side which defeated Plymouth on Saturday.

A repeat of the 2-0 win just a week and a half ago will do Sunderland nicely, and they have only Bryan Oviedo and Donald Love ruled out, although Ross did confirm they were monitoring one or two knocks.

Tonights match rules: Matches will be played by way of only one leg and be of ninety minutes duration with no extra time. If the scores are level at the end of the Match then the winners shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with procedures as approved by IFAB.

Michael Salisbury

It’s the same ref who officiated Sunderland’s win over Manchester City’s U21’s in the previous round. He also took charge of that rarest of things this season - a defeat! - in the FA Cup exit at the hands of Walsall.

He was also in charge for the home draw with Wycombe and the away point at Coventry.
