the first thing you need to do is apply a voltage

a network of resistors with no voltage applied to it conducts zero current

That horizontal line, in the middle is pissing me off. It has resistance, assuming it being nominal, it will be a node.

r1,r2,r3, and r4 total value will be in series with r5
measure r1 and r2 as parallel.
measure r3 and r4 as in parallel
r1,r2 is in series with r3, and r4.
take that value and calculate those 4 in series with r5.
