Windows 10 freezes up.

am feeling charitable today. Here is a list of things you can do to improve your situation:

1. If you do not have your operating system installed on an SSD, please purchase an SSD and reinstall it on there. Superfetch, an essential Windows utility, has been known to cause problems for users of harddrives.

2. From the looks of it, you have bloatware installed on your PC. Please get rid of it. You do not need most, if not all, of the HP garbage that came with your computer.

3. Post hardware specifications.

An SSD should not be the minimum requirement for using windows 10.
Bloatware should also not be the reason for his problems.

Don't get me wrong, I refuse to install an HDD into my computer and I always reinstall Windows 10 by using a Windows 10 ISO instead of some HP, Toshiba, Acer, whatever recovery partition, so I'm totally with you.

But I don't think these things will be creating his Windows freezing problem.

Look at what exactly is running @ 100% capacity (performance tab in task manager).
This is your bottleneck.
Then look at the details tab (or process tab) in task manager and filter by what uses up the most of your bottleneck.
