Anti-vaxxers are people who believe vaccines are unsafe.

These beliefs may originate from misinformation on social media sites. vaccines are one of the safest & most effective health interventions available for fighting infectious diseases.

Condoms are one of the safest and most effective health interventions available for preventing unwanted pregnancies, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna wear one. I'm a man, not a pussy.

FDA approved vaccines are safe.

There is no FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine.

This is true, however the MRNA vaccines are a whole new thing. Not *exactly* new but this is the first time an MRNA vaccine has been approved by the FDA. You might want to look up why none of the previous ones were approved. Even if this one's not having those problems, it is effectively still experimental and at best is an open beta.

Being this uninformed

Yeah, not actual FDA approval, just "emergency authorization". But the rest of the post should have clued you in to the fact that I know it's not a finished product with proper approval.

What are you talking about. A total of 0 mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have been approved by the FDA. EUA is not approved.

Reading comprehension, motherfucker, do you have it? It was approved for emergency use, everyone knows that. Don't get your balls up your ass over the word "approved" without reading the rest of the post.

Vaccines aren't inherently safe. There have been cases of vaccines misbehaving and bringing in side effects worse than the disease they are trying to cure.

I guess the argument is that fewer people die with vaccines.

True, they aren't 100% safe. But there are fewer deaths with them than without, so I would say they serve their purpose

All for a virus with a 99.96% recovery rate for the extreme brunt of society.

I have more than reading comprehension. Although efficacy requirements are the same, the duration and comprehensiveness of testing between EUAs and licenses are vastly different. Hence, J&J vaccine literally giving people blood clots, killing them. AstraZenica wasn't even given the EUA in the US due to those same blood clotting concerns. A licensed vaccine would be infinitesimally less likely to kill people. Then the tradeoff comes from rushing a vaccine through EUA to offset deaths, but we have the data for that. An estimated 4 million people would die before there was a licensed (approved) COVID-19 vaccine available to market.

I'm still concerned about ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis and the mRNA variants causing prion development in these people 20-30 years from now.

Oh, having a MS in BioChem Engineering helps. Fuck you.

It apparently doesn't help you distinguish between "approved for emergency use" and "100% approved" by context clues. Maybe you should have taken a few more Lit classes. You don't seem to understand, even after several posts, that I'm agreeing with you that MRNA vaccine technology is still experimental and unproven. Should I say that again in smaller words?

New shot is too new to be safe. No shot of this type worked right before.

Do you get it now, or do I need to draw you a picture in crayon?

All those vaccines/boosters were FDA approved and studied for decades beforehand.

This one has been out for 6 months.
