It's lost all social connection value.

Anyone else have a FaceBook but never posts on it? It's been ~3 years since my last post. I just have it basically to keep in contact with relatives across the sea.
Every now and then I want to post something, probably just to get attention, but I just don't really have anything to say. FaceBook just feels like a low key soapbox nowadays and it's just lost all social connection value. Anyone feel similar?

That's something I've noticed. I never noticed it until I moved into a dorm with 3 dudes, almost 5 years younger than me. They all use insta and tell me I need to get one, but therein lies the same issue. I just have nothing to say.

young people switch platforms every 10 years because they're mimicking their own brain development, just not aware of it yet.

you really don't know what you want when you're that young.

I can see that. Myspace was a huge part of my teenage years, and when FB first came out I made an account thinking that it's just be some stale website. Come to find out Myspace dried up like the Fertile Crescent and now FB seems to be doing the same. The only people that remain are only there to post their opinions on politics or social matters.
