People who live in LA, why do you do it?

I was there for Labor Day weekend and it was an utter dystopia. You're paying a premium for to get ravaged by traffic, toxic air, exorbitant taxes, homelessness and crime. Even the nice parts like Malibu or Laguna Beach are horribly overcrowded, and even if you're very wealthy you have to wait in traffic with everyone else.

I cannot fathom why people live here, can any natives tell me why you out up with it or what I'm missing?

I'm from NY and I too am curious about what I've heard.

NYC is as bad lmao, you get even more ravaged by taxes and living costs without the wildfires and high pollution

I’m leaving LA , everything you say is true. I just got stabbed at work by a crazy homeless guy.

The problem is the cost of living is so high people don’t have enough money to leave.

Well I said I was from NY not NYC. I hate the Manhattan area. Hell if we're being honest here I'm not a fan of my state in general.

Between the forrest fire smoke, the orange skies, the unending rapes & murders, junkies leaving piles of shit all over the side walk & dirty hypodermic needles stuck in trees, exploding homeless and unemployment rates - LA sounds like the typical far left Democrat utopia.

I don't understand this argument, even if you give away all your furniture and resettle elsewhere, you lose at most what you were going to pay for one month's rent anyway. I moved from Atlanta to Denver and it was really easy all things considered

/Thread, quite literally. Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, Detroit....the common denominator is failed left wing extremist Democratic control for decades.

pretty sure your taxes are higher, but yeah getting ravaged by homeless niggers screaming and threatening you is the norm. at least that shit makes us hard, don't talk to me mothafucka!!

I mean, you ain't wrong. It's pretty common that once Democrats gain a foothold in local or state politics, the state is on life support til it implodes into corruption violence, joblessness, murder and poverty.

cali has fantastic weather when half the state isnt on fire due to libtard policicie which allow our great forests to be turned into tinder boxes. other than that living here sucks, im mexican and am surrounded by illegals. they arnt bad ppl but the point is they arnt suppose to fuckin be here and cost our state tons, then we have to beg trump for money, we are the 7th largest economy in the world. we got too many non americans who move here illegally and legally and who vote for liberals. let this be a warning to the rest of the country, dont make our mistakes.

On top of what you just listed, I'd add low quality of life, skyrocketing taxes, failed "green" projects that cost the state billions, increasing number of diseases in poverty stricken area which are getting more and more common because of the record high homelessness you mentioned, record petty crime & violent assaults.

This state is an abysmal shithole. I'm moving to Kentucky at the end of the month onto a 20 acre plot of land I bought in the southeastern part of the state in the Appalachias. Got a creek and 2 ponds, a deep well for water. Absolute paradise & super low taxes after living in this leftist crumbling shithole for the last 9 years.

The only reason you would want to live in LA is if you are a rich motherfucker and make a lot of money. Otherwise you are working for large companies or cannot afford to move anywhere else. I live 45 min away from LA with traffic and shit is a million times better although I live next to a city that is shittier and their crimes spill over to here.
Traffic is better even though we are positioned right by the 60 fwy and there is a lot of money to be made since most houses cost at least 500k and that's without the LA up charge. Mine is currently just under a million and I have enough work that if I wanted to work more than part-time i would be making an easy 6 figures. Fuck LA it only exists for large companies and a night life that doesn't exist anymore.

I can;t tell you because it is one of those jobs that pay less when more people join. I will only say that I work independently and help with certain contracts that almost every person will have to sign at some point in their lives.

I make anywhere between 100-350 a signing and including all the work before and after probably amounts to 3 hours of effort from beginning to end. I can do multiple of these a day. I also get to write off my millage as well since I go to peoples houses. You should be able to figure it out from here if you are smart because the last thing I want is more people because they would take my contracts.

I'd like to point out that San Diego is the largest city in the United States that has a Republican mayor. San Diego has no homelessness, everyone makes a livable wage, our air is clean, and there have been zero riots.
