3.5 billion Zimbabwean dollars are only worth a few cents at best.

Didn't they kick out the white farmers because of their skin and then they were on a shortage of food?

Sure as fuck hope that's USD. If it's ZWD, it will be ~$9M. Don't know where the fuck Zimbabwe would be getting money from.

Yes. Zimbabwe ejected white landowners as a political stunt and re allocated their farms to blacks, but didn't realise that all of the nations farmers had been white and they took all their knowledge with them. They've been negotiating reparations for the white farmers to come back for years, this is the result of that process.

Some dipshits will point to this as evidece of blacks being useless but it's actually evidence of why shortsighted political stunts often backfire and pandering to your base isn't always the best move. The blacks didn't struggle to farm because of their inherent blackness, but because there was no-one to teach them. It's the equivalent of america kicking out all their rocket scientists and suddenly wondering why nasa can't get anywhere

But it is evidence of blacks being useless. They shouldn't have kicked them out to begin with.

nah black farmers never learned even when they were taught. You should join the peace corps. It will make you racist.

How the hell is a broke state going to pay that?

Maybe China will lend them the money?
I know China is looking to extend its influence to Africa, but I don't know enough about the details.
