Be China
Hate Monsanto/Bayer stranglehold on GM crops
Make Chinese GM crops
Send to other countries for free
Idiots plant them
Eventually those plants cross-polinate with food crops
Demand genetic testing of crops near areas you sent seeds
Patented DNA shows up in crops
Farmers used your patented DNA without permission or license
They sell their farm to you for pennies on the dollar to avoid being sued to hell
Start owning swaths of land in other countries that produce their food
Now control food production for other countries

Could be. Doesn't do me much good though, since my crops have been out since march and I'd rather rest the fields I'm resting this year so I can rotate next year. At the moment the seed crate is chilling in storage. Planting them would have to be by hand since the seeder is set up for the crops I actually grow (corn, soy, and squash) and fuck that shit.

Doesn't work like that, I'm afraid. There's also the issue that most of the seeds they send aren't going to be compatible pollinators with what's being grown.

Nice shill, fifty cent soldier
Go fuck yourself.

Monsanto did this for decades in the US and Europe.
They patented DNA sequences for seeds that they'd sell.
When pollen from one crop pollinates the neighboring crop, they would sue and force farmers into giving up their crop plus punitive damages or settling by selling their farms for pennies on the dollar.
Monsanto ended up with a lot of holdings from this scam.

Joyless fuck. Contribute instead of being a leech.

Monsanto has political power in the US and Europe. China lacks that, especially given that they're sending people seeds unsolicited. The US has already shown that they don't give 2 shits about genetic copywrites from other countries when russia tried that shit.

A better plan would be to ship out Chinese made Monsanto genetic seeds to ruin the company's monopoly.

lol

Maybe read the actual comic that panel’s from (American Born Chinese). You might avoid looking like an ass in the future.

LOL
Fair enough.
I've always believed that the US is the world's Mexico for bio/genetic production - we have looser laws than Europe and don't give a fuck about other countries claims on our stuff.

It's probably this, guys. Also checked.

I'll just plant them near people I hate. Thank you based China.

Are you sure this isn't actual jewelery? It's from a poor country, maybe your supposed to paint the seeds a color you like then make a necklace out of them

i was getting random packages from china for a while. super random things like studs, the kind you find on those hot topic studded belts, also things like replaement pads (?) that attach to the bottom heels on high heeled shoes
77 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 04:07
100% just a way to cover Chinese scam. Sellers will post shoes and other expensive looking things for 5-10 dollars so dumb people will buy it. They ship this stuff out to people and use same tracking numbers on multiple items. Most people who get scammed by this will not bother filing a claim to get $5 back. It may seem like it’s not profitable but even if 1000 people are scammed and don’t make a claim they made a killing.

This is what I was hoping to find.....a reasonable explanation. I was really freaked out earlier. My mind went to a very dark place.
80 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 04:59
The amount of unreasoning, un-curious automatic China defense is a good indicator of the level of shills present. Anyway, hopefully this gets Chinese imports banned.

Patented DNA shows up in crops
Farmers used your patented DNA without permission or license

your story relies on china recognising international pattents ?

bahahahahhaha oh my sides.

id like to see some documentation on this.

you cannot copyright a dna segment. you can only copyright your process of acheiving that dna segment.

if nature takes your shit and does it naturally, your process is moot.

can see what its getting at, he didnt have to turn over his farm tho, they just ruined his own 50 year breading efforts with infected crossbreading gmos.

i can garantee you the company does not own a pattent on that dudes new seeds.

.... tumble weeds of russia are winning the war
fight eucalyptus trees of Australia before they invade
86 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 06:40

If you water them after midnight, they'll sprout into a tentacle monster and start raping
87 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 06:57

His new seeds contain their patented DNA, therefore they own his seeds. That's the argument. Without the ability to use your own seeds you have to buy new seed every year.

>>85
haha good ole tumble weed attack.

probably one of the most successfull destablization attempts ever.

eycalyptus trees are natural fire hazards haha, perfeft for defense

>>87
I'm not the one claim they're taking farms btw....just letting you know what's actually going on. It's pretty unethical if you ask me.
90 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 07:48
>>87
thats not how that works... i told you you cant pattent DNA you can only patent the proccess of making that dna. if something else does it naturally you dont have a copyright claim to that.

the dude is saying he csnt use his seeds and their useless because they are now infected with GMO crop, and wasted the last 50 years of his life. not because they are legally blocking him.
91 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 08:05
>>90
And I'm just telling you what Monsanto is claiming...not saying I agree with it.
92 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 08:22

the clear disregard for their environnental impacts 100%

if it was intentional to disrupt other seed breeders, then thats downright criminal
93 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 08:38
>>91
thats fair, im just stating what ive learnt in copyright law.
94 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 08:56

Its most likely part of a money laundering scheme.
Some chink has a shit load of illegal cash that needs to be cleaned so starts a business selling "jewelry" sends out seeds that are basically free to fandom addresses he finds on the internet whilst claiming it was a 2000 chink monies ring or something. money in bank, packing and shipping receipt so everything looks legit on paper.
Might cost him a small bit of postage but hes cleaned a chunk of his cash.
Or its just some nutter sending seeds to people
95 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 09:13
>>90
They are legaly blocking him by the way. Monsanto has claimed that his seeds belong to them because they contain their patented DNA. His farm and seed stock are all evidence in the trial. He's effectivly out of business until the courts make a ruling.
96 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 09:30
>>95
I think Monsanto's goal is to make the process so hard on the farmers that they'll just buy seeds from them in order to avoid the hassle. Very very shady.
97 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 09:46
>>95
ooof thats going to be an expensive adventure in their behalf. they better be prepared to pay the farms yearly earnings compensation as well as the destruction of 50 years of selective breeding.
on top of the lawyers fees for both parties.

thats going to be expensive.
98 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 10:03
>>97
His time is worth hundreds of thousands....sales of new seeds every year is in the millions...

Like I said, I think they're banking on making it too much of a hassle
99 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 10:20
>>97
Any losses will be written off. They'll just pay less taxes.
100 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 10:37

Chinese people do give a fuck about this cold war, there’s conservative communist Chinese that have been pulling little shit against our conservative capitalists ever since Trump started fucking with them.
101 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 10:55
>>98
and if it doesnt work. then they are going to have to pay him out the ass. as well as opening themselves to anyone else that wants to make a claim against them.
>>99
losses being written off in tax is still a loss. it just means the goverment doesn't tax that loss......

if you loose 100k, you only get 20k back, so your still losing 80k.....
102 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 11:12
>>101
Yes, this is true. But like I said, they're banking on the money they'll make from everyone else, year after year, just to avoid the hassle. I think they've run the numbers and it's worth it to them, win or lose.
103 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 11:29
>>102
then they run the risk of corporate law.
theres a reason all the monopolies keep everything hush hush.

that was two years ago though. so if its not resolved by now then their just playing stalling tactics. when they loose that courtcase their product is useless. because anyone can just breed normal crops with them and void payment.
104 Name: SuperFratBoyExtreme 2020-07-27 11:46
Lol....I can't believe there are people that actually think these are OPs pictures.

This exactly! I may have been a bit too paranoid on this one, but at least I know to be paranoid. Do these people not realize what's going on in the world right now?

shills arnt nearly as popular as you think they are in 4ct.

there are trolls for days, china isnt trying to change the opinions of a degenerate few.

when someone says "shill" thing of your average fox news jockey, whos just spitting shit instead of reaearching it properly.

chink shit cross pollinated your pure bred crops
sue chink conpany for raping your crops
tell them you're gonna use the tactical thumb nuke if they don't cough up the money
settle for taking half of their company as slaves to work in your fields
sell off the children because chinks tried to chink you even this time by giving you less able bodied slaves
joke's on them, children are worth even more

Man i used to work in the postal service in a big city in Germany. I got these packages all the fucking time. I delivered at 2000-3000 addresses a day and have at least 50 of these cunts per day

the chinks are a pretty filthy people, why cant we send em right back to some ping pong in bumfuck china. theyll probably plant em on purpose for fuck sakes, if not theyll definitely litter
110 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 14:04
Thing is as one of the prime tech manufacturers, they have faulty surplus or just old unsold stock with no market value anymore, like old 128mb usb or sds, small old phone parts, etc that that also weight little and could send for their e-sales scam

the fact that they send dormant living things that have a hull exterior which could protect anything inside from uv or chemical disinfectants before releasing it into the wild once the seed sprouts shouldnt be ignored
111 Name: Anonymous 2020-07-27 14:36
>>110
maybe it's something...maybe it's nothing... If I get mystery seeds from China or if anyone I know does, I'm sending them to my local Department of Agriculture. They can test and or dispose of them. I'm not taking the chance.
