Thanks anon, I'm glad I could help. Look up sociology stuff from lots of different sources and apply them wherever you can. Some of it is bullshit and some of it just won't work for you. But keep trying and remember that rejection is a big part of life that is okay. If you won every time, you'd never learn anything. Reflect on yourself and the situation as if from a third party - imagine that you're someone giving you advice about a situation rather than picturing yourself in it. Phrase it, aloud to yourself as if you're that third party who doesn't really know you and the other person. You'll be more decisive and hopefully have more clarity as you won't think of it as "This is about me" and think of it as this person and that person, based on what you know about people.
