Why aren't esports considered a sport? I am SICK and TIRED of the suppression and oppression of gamers.

Why aren't esports considered a sport
because they aren't one.
Sport (British English) or sports (American English) includes all forms of competitive physical activity or games which,[1] through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants, and in some cases, entertainment for spectators.[2]
fat faggots playing video games will never be a real sport

I'm asking this unironically, but is Chess considered a sport?
Cause if it is, then I can see why they make a case for videogames being a "sport". Though I really think a sport should be defined through physical exertion

The sheer amount of intelligence, split-second decision making, and hand-eye coordination required of professional gamers is unprecedented in any other sport. Competitive gaming is the future; physical sports are an archaic form of competition that will soon be phased out. Esports are unironically the thinking mans sport by any stretch of the meaning.

If you want to enlighten yourself to the level of competition and skill, that is unfound in any other competitive sport, sit down and watch CS:GOs biggest event.

Difference between sport and skill games
But a lot of skill games are considered as sports, ex. archery and shooting

Are esports players considered athletes?

Only by other pasty nerds who like to think of themselves as Olympians for pressing buttons on a toy.
