If you play vidya, I would highly advise you to refrain from updating.
Just as what happened to 7 - 10 upgrade, many games were not yet optimized for the update. Thus, they became unplayable once you update.
Honorable mentions: Fallout 3, Every Sims game before 3, Gears of War Ultimate & Tactics, Phantasy Star Universe (not the new one), Multiple EA games (too many to list) and tons of emulators.

Microsoft can care less that your games are not optimized for their new OS update. All they care is that you download it and pump their numbers.

To add to this, many programs will require reoptimization once the update is full throttle. So if you're dependent on a specific program, you better hope they release an update for compatibility.
Otherwise, you're pretty much fucked.

Yeah, please refer to the beginning of this post.

If none of these is a deal breaker for you, then by all means go for it. But if you play vidya on your pc, I would stay clear for the time being.
