Don't ask me. I used to be a system builder for a semi-large company going back to the mid-00s. I haven't built myself a new system since this one with an i7 4770k.

Depression and dying kind of took my enthusiasm out of everything.

Lol good luck dude you're 6 months out, or paying 3x msrp for anything better than your 1050. Shit even those are going for 350-400

unironically run a local copy of AIDungeon, most demanding game CPU/RAM wise that exists

I've never heard of this. It looks pretty cool from what I'm reading about it. I'll watch a video on how the gameplay kinda words then i'll try it myself. Thx m8

No it's open source software by berkeley, researchers write programs to process datasets, so it downloads the binary and then the datasets, you have a few weeks to process each dataset you download, lots of projects to choose from, pick one you find interesting and configure it to pause computation when your game is running or when cpu reaches certain % I run it 24/7 while I mine ethereum with GPU

TRUE! I need Monaro for my mullvad vpn so this I will do
This sounds super cool. I'll do some datasets to see how it goes. Do you get to see the product of the research you add to?

Projects release info every so often so you get to follow what's going on and the impact it has, when rona happened there was a ton of rona related projects like one modeled how the protein folded so they published animations of it folding on twitter, there was a lot of new people contributing then and their servers couldn't handle the load due to disk IO being insufficient
