Bypass password on windows 8,

Is there still an easy way to bypass somebody's password on windows 8, without them knowing you've done so? There's a girl staying at my place, and I know for a fact that she has a folder of her nudes on her PC. I remember seeing a video before where you could open command prompt from the password input screen, and then somehow get into the files from there.
I'm sure i've seen the video somewhere, but of course nothing is so easy to find on google these days. Most of the ones I can find involve resetting the password, which is clearly mad suspicious. I have about three hours today while she's out of the house to do whatever I can to get in, and will share all her hot nudes with y'all if i can get access.
Does anyone know of a way to get into this girl's computer without her knowing that I did it?

open her computer
take out the hard drive
put it in your computer
browse the files
copy what you need
remember to put it back

Get Gandalf boot is. Put hirens tools on it. Boot from usb. Either change her password or unlock admin account which will have access to her files. Or just access the hdd from Gandalf alone.

Or hardware. Pull the hdd. Plug it to your pc or a dock and you can access her files that way as well.

Not OP, but yup.

Also, if you do this you will need to give yourself ntfs permissions to the files, which will leave a mark unless you remove them.

just watch her hands when she types in the password. I'ts probably something retarded anyway.

I should note that she has a laptop, not a desktop that i can take out the HDD.
I guess I've also heard that you can just put in a linux CD, and do a "try it out" option, then access the files on the hard drive from that? Does that work easily?
I have a bit more than basic understanding of computers, but nothing crazy technical, or of course I wouldn't be asking

you can take a hard drive out of a laptop too, it's just going to be a 2.5" drive instead of a 3.5"

Yes to the Linux thing. Get a Knoppix DVD or CD and go to town. Just remember to share any wins with /comp/.

I don't suppose there are simple instructions on how to do that, besides
"google knoppix
burn to disk
put disk in and boot
click a big ol button that says "try"

I know for a fact that there's at least a full screen of thumbnails in the nudes folder, cuz i glanced it quickly when she was closing shit out, and it was literally labeled "sexy pics for *boyfriend's name*"
So i'll definitely share all of them with you, if we can get this to work

I've got an idea.. While she's gone just straight up call her and say "Anon, I have a (insert thing here) due in 15 minutes and my computer just died! Can I please please please use your computer to send this!? What's your password, omg you are such a life saver!"

DO NOT TAKE OUT THE HARD DRIVE! You might screw something up. Also, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, RESET THE PASSWORD. It's time consuming and super suspicious. Download a Linux image (if you're a noob I recommend Ubuntu or Linux Mint), install it onto a flash drive with either Universal USB Installer or Unetbootin, or burn it onto a DVD. Then, boot from the flash drive/DVD and open the Windows 8 partition. Then just browse the files.
