TV ridiculous interracial family?

1 Name: Anonymous 2020-09-25 17:18
How come every ad I see on tv features some ridiculous interracial family? I’ve never seen an Indian man married with children to a black woman. Nor have I seen an Asian married to a Mexican. Wtf is up with these companies marketing like this. It’s to a point where I can’t even take it seriously. Why can’t they use normal families?

Recently saw Waterworld- not decent in plot but enjoyable. I'm looking for a movie where the theme is you-travel-with-your-home type deal, like what Mortal Engines should have been about or Waterworld with the boats and stuff). Any suggestions?

Why did the Visitors need fresh water from Earth, when the Milky way has billions of worlds with water?

The Visitors said they traveled 56 trillion years miles to get to Earth?

So why did they need Earths water and not water from say Mars, Venus or even water moons like Ganymede and Europa?

Around season 2 they start revealing that multiple characters on the show are imaginary figures of the main character Elliot. Yet these imaginary characters have scenes where they interact with real people. What's the point of these scenes if it didn't really happen cause they're imaginary characters?

I was in Germany my early teens, my dad was station in the USAF, it was a bit of culture shock because nudity was accepted and embraced, and i recall my first mastication experiences derived due to that overload of exposure, film, TV magazines... i recall buying my first porn magazine from a newsstand like it was nothing, we will be eating dinner and a the movie playing on tv would have nude scene... when I went on outings with my school mates the girls will bathe topless in the pool. It was the culture.

This woman has made a career out of accusing and pointing fingers and complaining about her career.

She also leaked her own nudes online to gain some fleeting news articles.

I think most women have a "that happened to me " moment in their lives, but we've grown up and learned to process it and put away.

Or just stop collecting rapes.

That's what she needs to learn.

why doesn't he know where doc brown lives ?

1 Name: Anonymous 2020-08-16 02:23
in back to the future marty goes back to the same town he lives in but in 1955. we see in 1985 marty knows where doc brown lives. but when he arrives in 1955, one of the first things he does is try calling doc brown and gets his address from a phone book. then he asks several people where is the street that doc brown lives at.

why doesn't he know where doc brown lives at in 1955 when we already know in 1985 he knows where he lives in town?

there's a sign that says "Hill Valley 2 miles" (likely for comedic purposes
when Marty is in the car, he says "I'll go back 10 minutes (sets time to 1:24)"
Sign at the mall says 1:35 when Marty shows up at "lone pine mall"

the rest is deductive reasoning regarding city planning.

the only possibility would be that Marty drove the wrong way when he was fleeing the farm when he first time traveled and then turned back around after realizing that. which means, he would've passed by that farm again on the way to downtown.

This actually works out for the night to day shift that occurs between leaving the farm/mall area and passing his neighborhood under construction. He first traveled back to 6:38 am. So he drove the wrong way for 15-20 minutes, got his bearings, turned around, saw the construction, parked the car, and walked 2 miles. That would put him walking into town at about 8am, which would make sense why his dad is eating breakfast in the cafe.

shit i am sorry. it is #10 for science fiction movies. here's the list:

1 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
2 Star Wars (1977)
3 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
4 A Clockwork Orange (1971)
5 The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
6 Blade Runner (1982)
7 Alien (1979)

(Post truncated)
29 Name: Anonymous 2020-08-16 19:05
so much of that list relies on genx/millenial nostalgia

the day the earth stood still and body snatchers are probably the only films on this list that deserve the spots they got, whomever made this list wasn't old enough to have seen it as a kid in theaters. the story and acting are great in both, especially for their time.

stanley kubrick films are worthy too

the rest of the list is definitely a "I was born in 1975" and this was my childhood.
30 Name: Anonymous 2020-08-16 19:12
no, the movie opens with Marty in a warehouse complex messing with Doc's amplifier. watch when he leaves to go to school
That's true, Doc owns a business, the name of which you can see on his van (Brown's scientific consulting or something). The first scene could have been the business's office or warehouse. Though, someone could be mistaken for thinking that Doc lives there due to the breakfast contraptions and the presence of Einstein the dog. It is possible that Marty had never been to Doc's real house until 1955.
31 Name: Anonymous 2020-08-16 19:20
it's a very good movie because the writing is so tight and they seem to have considered every aspect of the story. i'm sure there are plot holes to be found but compared to most movies this one is fairly close to air tight. as you just laid out the timeline and distances i am sure the writers did the same to make sure it all made sense.

Actually, the lore is still in there. The hero's journey doesn't care what skin color he has. I agree that blackfacing and whitewashing and all of those things are dumb and only a way for productions to ho "here, look at us. We're not racist... Please watch this movie now!" But that's just another way for corporations to make us buy their shit. No bad intent. Just give-us-your-money-lore. Look at black panther. Basically just a movie that was meant to be a mikestone that's all. In the end, it's quite a good movie. It will not be remembered for it's blackness, but for the movie.
The real controversy only keeps going on for a while, and then real quality reveals itself over time. Robin hood was just a bad movie. So was king arthur or ocean's 8. Thebuzz was the blackfacing. But over time, they are just bad mivies, regardless of all that PR stuff that is supposed to make liberals smike and idiots like OP cry. That's why this stuff is done. So that OP cries. And he does. And it's good that he opens up about it. So he can learn. From me.

Im looking for a film I saw years ago. It was a live-action/animated film I think from either Poland or Czechoslovakia. English subs. Low video & audio quality, looked ripped from VHS or Beta. Kinda reminded me of The Wall in the way it blended the actors & animations. There is a scene where a dude freaks out after taking pills and hes in a spiders web. This animated spider that kinda looks like the Wife from The Wall comes down and rips him apart to a disco backing track. Any idea what film I saw?
